Tile floor refinishing
VCT Stripping, Sealing and Waxing in Farmers Branch, TX
Tired, yellowed tile taken back to the floor and built up again, coat by coat, until it gleams and stays that way.
Why Mopping Stops Working on Old Tile
Vinyl composition tile holds up for a very long time under the right care, which is why it is in so many hallways, breakrooms, schools, stores and clinics. What does not last is the wax on top of it. Every coat that goes down over a dirty floor seals some of that dirt in, and after enough rounds of that the finish turns yellow at the edges, goes dull and patchy in the walking paths and picks up black scuffs that will not come out. At that point you can mop it every night and it still looks tired, since the grime now lives within the wax itself.
The only real fix is to take it all off and start over, which is exactly the job a strip and wax handles. We move the furniture, put down a stripping solution that softens all those old layers, scrub it loose with a floor machine and pick it up with a wet vacuum, then rinse the tile clean so nothing is left to keep the new coats from bonding. Next comes a sealer, and then several thin coats of fresh finish, each one given time to dry properly before the next goes on. Once the finish has hardened, we burnish it with a high-speed machine that brings up a deep, wet-looking gloss. Everything goes back where it was and the floor is ready for traffic. We do it all after hours, so you leave a tired floor at night and come back to one that looks cared for again.
Clear the floor

Strip the old finish
Stripper softens the old coats, a machine scrubs them loose and a wet vac picks them up.
Rinse it clean
The tile is rinsed so no stripper residue weakens the new finish.
Seal the tile
A sealer coat gives the tile an even base and helps the finish grab.
Lay new finish
Thin, even layers, with a full wait between every pass.
Burnish to a shine
A high-speed machine hardens the top coat and brings out the gloss.
Put it back together
Furniture returned, the area checked and opened back up.
How We Schedule Floor Work
Look at the tile
We check how big the area is, how worn the finish is and what has to be moved.
Pick a quiet time
The work lands on an evening or weekend when that floor can sit untouched.
Do it right
Every step gets done in order and the floor is checked before it reopens.
